Contact
One address, read by the person who builds this: hello@transcribelocally.com
There is no contact form here, which is deliberate — a form needs a server to receive it, and this site does not have one. That is the same reason your recordings cannot be uploaded.
Especially useful to hear about
- A file that would not decode. Tell me the extension, roughly how it was produced (which app, which device) and which browser you used. Do not send the file — I cannot accept it and would not want it.
- Transcription that came out badly on audio that sounded fine. Describe the recording rather than sending it: how many speakers, what room, what microphone, which model tier you used.
- A language that performed much worse than expected, or one you would like added to the picker.
- An export format that your software rejected. Which program, and what it said.
- Anything factually wrong in the guides. Corrections are welcome and get made.
Things I can’t help with
- Recovering a transcript. Nothing is stored anywhere — not on a server, not in the site’s cache. If the tab closed before you exported, it is gone, and there is no copy for me to find.
- Telling you whether this meets a compliance requirement. I can describe exactly what the software does technically, and I will. Whether that satisfies HIPAA, GDPR, your ethics committee or your firm’s policy is a question for whoever advises you.
- Transcribing something for you. I never see your files, which is the point of the whole site.
It is one person doing this alongside other work, so replies are not instant. Bug reports with enough detail to reproduce the problem get looked at first, because they are the ones I can actually act on.
